Our mission is to empower kids through soccer and sports by teaching them how to have fun while learning the fundamentals. We use soccer to nurture, build self-confidence, and develop teamwork in a positive environment.

There are several aspects of Soccer Stars that makes our program unique and stand out from other youth sport providers:

– Low kid-to-coach ratio. This allows each player to receive individual attention during class and advance at their own pace.
– Age-specific curriculum. Some programs tout this feature but then group multiple age groups together during the early childhood classes. This is not the Soccer Stars way. In our youngest classes, your child will play with other children who are within 1 year of their own age and have specific lesson plans built to their developmental needs. Our older players will also enjoy playing with other children of a similar age during their classes.
– Crib-to-College Player Pathway. Starting with our Parent & Me classes at the age of 12mo+ and leading to our high school travel teams, Soccer Stars can support your player at every stage of their soccer journey. Here is what our player pathway looks like:
     > Parent & Me – Ages 12mo to 3
     > Super Soccer Stars – Ages 3 to 12
     > Soccer Stars United Development – U5 to U12
     > Soccer Stars United Travel – U8 to U18
– Highly trained and certified coaches, with ongoing training. We employ the best youth soccer coaches in the country. What makes our team so great is our ongoing coach training and certification. Each season, every coach is reviewed multiple times by our Coaching Department to make sure all coaches are up to date with the latest trends and information. We also incentivize our coaches to reach higher levels of coach status within the company, through specific goal-setting and national certifications.

Absolutely not. Whether a beginner or ready for competitive play, Soccer Stars has a program that is appropriate for your child. Many of our program ages overlap so that you and your child can be comfortable with the level of play during your session. Here is an overview of our program offerings:

     > Parent & Me – Ages 12mo to 3: A pre-soccer music and movement program for toddlers ages 1-2. This fun-filled class – taught by experienced instructors and their puppet friends, Mimi and Pepe – focuses on balance, coordination, upper and lower-body exercises, cognitive skills, and more.

     > Super Soccer Stars – Ages 3 to 12: The classic youth soccer program that teaches the fundamentals of the sport in a fun, non-competitive, educational environment. Our unique curricula use positive reinforcement and a low child-to-coach ratio to make sure each child feels supported and confident in his or her own abilities, allowing kids to improve at their own rate.

     > Soccer Stars United Development – U5 to U12: Development is the natural continuation and advanced program of Super Soccer Stars. Players are gradually introduced to new technical skills, tactical elements, and team concepts as they improve soccer skills and reach program milestones.

     > Soccer Stars United Travel – U8 to U18: A soccer program unlike any other, with a philosophy centered on providing a nurturing yet challenging environment that encourages every player to express themselves, be creative and take educated risks on the field. The program focuses on developing character, communication, game insight, technique, and fitness skills.

Soccer Stars offers a truly crib-to-college player pathway starting with our Parent & Me program for ages 1-3 years old, Super Soccer Stars for ages 3-12 years old, and Soccer Stars United Development and Travel programs for ages U5-U18.

Class Time Lengths based on Age Range:

>Ages 12mo to 3: 40 minutes

>Ages 3 to 4: 45 minutes

>Ages 4 to 5:  50 Minutes

>Ages 5 to 12+:  60 Minutes

At Soccer Stars, we use the soccer ball as the vehicle to help children not only improve their soccer skills, but develop self-confidence and physical literacy, improve gross motor skills, and hone socialization skills. Dynamic coaches work with small groups of boys and girls to develop these skills and teamwork in a fun, non-competitive, educational environment. Each week we focus on learning a new skill with fun activities and drills.

In-Person Programs – We typically bring all the equipment for your class to run smoothly. However, in the current climate, we are asking children to bring their own soccer ball to class to limit the touchpoints of our players.

Digital Programs – No equipment, no problem! While our coaches may use a soccer ball and cones, they will also suggest a variety of household items that can be used for each lesson.

Soccer Ball – Any round ball, rolled up pair of socks, paper & tape ball

Tall Cone – water bottle, plastic cups, lego tower

Flat Cone – plastic bowl, small pillow, folded towel

Spots – Paper plate, shirt, piece of paper

Goal – Cardboard box, laundry basket, pair of sneakers against the wall

Most importantly, your child should be comfortable. Seasonally appropriate athletic wear is recommended, with secure footwear required (lace-up or velcro – nothing that will slip off their feet or that has exposed toes). If a shirt or jersey was included with your enrollment, we also recommend you wear it to class each week. Children are asked to bring a water bottle to class as well.

While all equipment is normally provided, we are currently asking children to bring their own soccer ball to class in an effort to limit touchpoints amongst each participant.

Yes! While our earliest Soccer Stars will focus on the “Big Kick” at the end of each class, for Ages 3+ scrimmaging and small-sided games will be an important part of the curriculum. This allows children to absorb lessons from class and attempt to apply them in a game scenario. We believe our younger players need a pressure-free environment to thrive, so keeping track of score and using goalkeepers will not be a focus until later in the player development. Also, check out the new Soccer Stars Scrimmage Series in our class search which is 75 minutes – 15 minutes of classes and 60 minutes of gameplay. Only available in select markets.

Consistency is important in a child’s level of comfort and development from week to week. As such, we strive to maintain the same coach every week in your class. However, there are instances when a coach will have to be substituted in a class, whether due to scheduling conflicts or other personal requests.

In our Parent and Me program, which covers ages 1 to 3 years old, we encourage parent or caregiver participation. Beyond Parent and Me starting at ages 3 and above our classes are designed as separation classes. Our philosophy is that “you know your child best,” we have learned some young children respond better with a loved one present to comfort and encourage them.

For classes and camps a child can be dropped off at ages 3 and above.

Through our crib-to-college player pathway, we offer both a FUNdamental recreational learning program, as well as elite-level play led by highly trained and certified coaches. Super Soccer Stars represents our recreational program, while Soccer Stars United is our development and competitive program.

Yes! Depending on your region, our Soccer Stars United program offers both a development program and a competitive travel program. Learn More about Soccer Stars United HERE.

Yes, our programs are co-ed unless otherwise noted in the class description. As the majority of our programs are instructional in nature, we believe that there is a greater benefit to co-ed learning and social development.

Yes! At select locations during the start of a new season, or at the launch of a new location, a free trial class may be offered for parents to bring their soccer stars to see our curriculum and coaches in action. Visit our Class Search page and look for demo classes in your area!

Development & Travel

Soccer Stars United has a dual philosophy; fostering a lifelong passion for the game of soccer while maintaining a specific focus on player development. We create an environment where players can learn, develop and fall in love with game of soccer regardless of their skill-level. Whilst we challenge players, our coaches create an environment that is FUN, making players want to return.

Soccer Stars United focuses on developing key individual 1v1 techniques, improving players’ employment of skills at speed, and developing the confidence to unlock each player’s true potential. We understand that player development is not an exact science and can be messy. Players develop at different speeds – we take into account emotional, cognitive and physical development.

– Low player-to-coach ratio. This allows each player to receive individual attention during class and advance at their own pace.
– Developmentally appropriate curriculum. Our coaches meet players where they are. We do not have a one-size fits all approach. Having evaluated areas of growth for each player, we challenge players and get them outside their comfort zone.

We can work with 1 player for a 1-on-1 session, and have up to a maximum of 10 players in each group.

Yes – we can tailor sessions to focus on specific areas of the game. For example; goal scoring, attacking, midfield play, ball mastery, defending etc

In order for the experience to be as beneficial as possible for each player, we expect that participants have some prior experience of soccer. This does not mean they have to have a certain skill level, only that they are a total beginner.

We work with girls and boys from aged 4 and up.

Each session is 60 minutes. We can extend if the coach feels it is developmentally appropriate.

Session 1 will be used to evaluate the skill-level of each player and the group as a whole. Following the 1st session, the coach will design an appropriate development plan.

We ask that players bring a ball, shin guards and water.

Yes – there will be an opportunity to play games; however these will be small-sided to maximize touches on the ball and involvement. Our philosophy is that players learn best through playing the game.

Consistency is important in a player’s level of comfort and development from week to week. As such, we strive to maintain the same coach every week; however, there are instances when a coach will have to be substituted due to scheduling conflicts or other personal requests.

For ages 13 and below, we ask that at least 1 caregiver stays in the vicinity of the field. We ask that parents do not stand next to the training session as this often pressurizes the players and increases anxiety. We want players free to make mistakes and open to learning from them – having a parent present can limit a player’s willingness to express themselves.

Scrimmage Games

Scrimmage Games is an opportunity for players to come and just play soccer. We feel the game is the best coach and Scrimmage Games allows players to practice the skills they have been learning in our Super Soccer Stars classes.

We play 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4 to allow maximum touches on the ball and more goals. Our professional coaches oversee games, however they keep coaching instructions to a minimum. Using teaching moments in the game, coaches use discovery questions to help players develop. This is an opportunity for players to just play the game and have fun. As well as soccer development, our coaches strive to educate players on the power of always working hard, getting outside their comfort zone, being coachable, humility, playing with class and being a good teammate.

We offer Scrimmage Games for ages 4-12.

Total Duration is 75 minutes — this is broken down in 15 minutes skill warm-up and then games of 15 minutes. There will be time for players to take a break over the 75 min session.

Players should bring a ball and a water bottle. We provide each player with 2 x pinnies.

No we do not keep track of the scoreline. As soccer educators we know that the scoreline does not tell the full story – a team can win and play badly. Moreover we encourage players to try new skills, express themselves, work hard and learn from mistakes. Even though we are not keeping score, our coaches will challenge players to be the best they can be.

Yes! We offer a year round program of age-appropriate, curriculm based skill classes. Players are encouraged to work on their skills in a class with one of our professional coaches and then try to use them in the Scrimmage Games matches.

At present we only offer a coed option.

Absolutely! We do have some recommendations to make sure you have the best possible experience:

  • Set up a tripod or other stable way to maintain your camera’s position. Holding your laptop or mobile device while your child plays can create a lot of extra movement in your stream and takes away from your overall experience as well.
  • As you move outside, you tend to move further away from your home wifi connection. Change your settings to run on cellular data, service permitting, to help maintain a more consistent connection

Check out the Soccer Stars @ Home Kit in our Online Store!

No equipment, no problem! While our coaches may use a soccer ball and cones, they will also suggest a variety of household items that can be used for each lesson.

We would recommend a PC or Tablet to get the best interactive experience in terms of seeing your coach and your teammates, but a mobile phone will work as well.

When registering for your Soccer Stars @HOME Virtual Class you will get to see which coach is teaching each class time.

No, our classes are provided via private live stream to your child’s class. Your child will get to learn in realtime with the coach, who can see and hear them for a personalized experience. This allows for your child to ask questions directly to the coach during the class.

No – while Backyard Games is fun & energetic additions to any weekly Soccer Stars class, you are able to subscribe separately from class enrollment in our Online Store.

Backyard Games can be played outdoors OR indoors! We’ve created each game with a small playspace in mind, so if you don’t have access to an outdoor space, you can still enjoy games from the safety and comfort of your home.

We’ve partnered with HomeCourt so players can train in an interactive soccer app that takes your skills to the next level. It’s the personal skills trainer that’s always with you, capturing your performance, and providing you with guided feedback.

HomeCourt’s mobile AI works in a wide variety of conditions, indoors and outdoors. For the most accurate camera recognition, play in a well lit environment with only 1 soccer player.

Mount your device to a tripod low to the ground, tilted upward so your full body is in view. Your movements will be tracked by the front-facing camera: be sure that you can see your feet and soccer ball clearly on the screen.

No tripod? Just rest your device on the ground, leaning against an object or wall for back support.

Where needed, our curriculum will be implemented based on a specialized distanced individual approach all while ensuring your child has a fun and safe experience!

We have built a phenomenal Virtual Program and we will move your classes on-line. We have tremendous coaches and curriculum and make it very entertaining for Soccer Stars to continue to learn their skills. Our CAT team will send out Zoom class links in advance of any city or statewide orders targeting the same day and time to ensure a smooth transition from in-person to virtual. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to us via Text 332-228-6931 or Live Chat.

Yes. We love it when we can have more family members to join our programs. Please text “Siblings” to (732) 314-6262 to receive the sibling discount code for use at check out. It will be for 5% off the class price for every enrolled child in your family. Discount is not applicable for monthly billing.

Due to the nature of our age-specific program, there may be instances where your child might fall between 2 different age groups, especially during the early childhood ages of 3-6. Our program focuses on certain developmental milestones, not necessarily the size and height of the child, to determine class placement. While we generally suggest enrolling in the earlier age group within the overlap for new players, our coaches can evaluate your child and make recommendations and help facilitate if moving up to the next age group would be appropriate.

If a program displays “Save My Spot” or ” Join Waitlist”, that means that particular class spots are full, but a spot may open up. Because the waiting list is first-come, first-serve, we highly recommend that you complete the waiting list registration form to reserve a spot in case of an opening. There is no obligation and you will not pay for the registration at that time. If a spot opens up, you will be contacted and full payment will be expected to secure your spot.

Why wait when you can make your own Private Class! Request a Private Class Today.

Congratulations! You will receive a confirmation email that your application has been received, and a second email once your application has been processed. You are not formally enrolled until your application has been processed. About a week before your class is set to begin, you will receive a first-class email as a reminder of class location and times, as well as other pertinent information regarding the start of the season.

You will have received a class confirmation or first class email detailing information on your class location, where you will meet the coach. However, if you want a more specific Map pin, on the website you will find a location link in blue under your class.

If you miss a class(es), we offer two (2) free Virtual Make-up classes. If you would like to register for a Virtual Make-up Class(es) please check out our Virtual Class schedule and Text Us at (332)228-6931 or click the Live Chat icon to book your Virtual make-up(s).

Yes! You can transfer into any class/location for the same age group that works for you and your Soccer Star. Any difference in pricing can be charged/credited as appropriate. The Customer Advocacy Team will be available to assist.

It is common for many children to have a “warming up” period when starting a new class or with a new coach. If your child is having any issues, please communicate with us and we will do everything in our power to help with their adjustment. Sometimes it might be as simple as making the coach aware so they can provide some extra attention. Depending on the situation, it may be best to move the child to a different class, which we are also happy to help facilitate.

Once you enroll, you will have until before the 4th class to decide whether you would like to stay in the season. Our trial period allows children and parents to gain a greater sense of the class and curriculum, and many times a child who is hesitant the first class will be fully engaged by the 3rd class. As well, this allows for a more consistent class, allowing children to progress in their class through out the season with the same group of children. If you do wish to withdraw from the program within your trial period you are able to receive a prorated credit to use for a future class season or a refund back to your original form of payment minus a $35 processing fee.

For Subscription Services you may cancel your Subscription at any time (unless otherwise indicated in an enrollment agreement for such Subscription) with the cancellation taking into effect at the end of the billing cycle during which we receive your notice of cancellation. Coaching

Our coaches are thoroughly vetted during a multi-stage interview process. All of our coaching candidates come with either coaching or early childhood experience and pass state and federal background checks.

What makes our coaching team the best in the world is our ongoing coach training and certification. Each season, every coach is reviewed multiple times by our Coaching Department to make sure all coaches are up to date with the latest trends and information. We also incentivize our coaches to reach higher levels of coaching status within the company, through specific goal-setting and national certifications.

For security and privacy purposes we do not provide direct contact information for coaches. Should you need to pass on information please contact our Customer Advocacy Team via Live Chat, SMS Text, Email, or Phone for assistance. Visit our Contact Us page for details.

For Private Groups and Pods, you can contact your Class Manager.

Equipment / Merchandise

In-Person Programs – we typically bring all the equipment for your class to run smoothly. You are allowed to bring your own soccer ball if you like.

Purchase apparel and equipment from our ONLINE STORE!

Weather

Our team will make every effort to determine the status of class two hours before the scheduled start time, based on available forecasts. Please keep in mind we do run classes in drizzly weather and light rain, so make sure to prepare for any and all weather conditions when getting ready to head to class. Occasionally we will cancel classes with short notice or while class is in progress, as safety is our first priority at all times. If we know bad weather is imminent the day before, we will reach out in advance of the class and provide a Virtual Class link for you to join a class close to the same day and time.

Find if your class has been canceled by texting our Weather Hotline at (201) 957-0212.

If you have not already received outreach from us via Phone, SMS, or Email to confirm cancellation you can check our Text Weather Hotline.
